Raw Canvas

The best gifts are those that give you an experience.

One of my best friends treated me to a night out at Raw Canvas for my birthday. It was something we had spoken about a few times, but really never got around to . You know, life's busy turns can keep you from experiences like this. It turned out to be a relaxing and honest evening between two friends.

I was definitely nervous walking into this night because I have never seen myself as a painter (or an artist, to be honest, but I'm working on that) and I have always been in awe of Laryn's work. As we stepped in front of our blank canvasses, my anxiety subsided and I realized that I'm here to paint for myself, and no one else. The evening ended with learning about of how relaxing indulging in creativity can be, and how I need to incorporate it more in my life to achieve balance.
